What happens when someone scans it
The phone shows the number and opens the dialer with it entered — it does not call automatically, the person taps the green button. It works offline for dialling; the call itself needs signal like any phone call.
How to make a Phone Number QR Code

Enter the number
Include the country code for anyone scanning from abroad, e.g. +91 or +1.

Keep the design simple
These are often scanned in a hurry — a plain, high-contrast code scans fastest.

Print it large enough
On a vehicle or a board, print the code at least 5 cm wide so it reads from a distance.

Frequently asked questions
Does it call automatically?
No. It opens the dialer with the number entered; the person taps call. That is intentional — an auto-dialling code would be a nuisance.
Should I include the country code?
Yes if the code might be scanned by someone from another country. For a purely local audience the local format is fine.
Can it dial an extension?
Some phones accept a pause and extension digits, but support is patchy. For reliability, use the main number.
Is a phone QR code better than just printing the number?
It removes typing errors and works one-handed. Print both — the number for people who prefer to key it in, the code for speed.
