What happens when someone scans it
The phone opens a new email in whatever mail app the person uses — Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook — with your address in the To field and the subject and body pre-filled if you set them. It never sends on its own; the person reads the draft and taps send. That is deliberate — an auto-sending QR would look like spam.

Which mail app opens?
The scanner's default mail app — Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook, whatever they use.
Can I add CC or BCC?
This version keeps it to address, subject and body for reliability. CC/BCC support may come later.
Does the email send automatically?
No. It opens a draft; the person still taps send. That is a good thing — it is not spammy.
Can I put an email QR code on a business card?
Yes, though a vCard QR code is usually better for a card — it saves your whole contact. Use an email QR when you want people to write to a specific address with a set subject.
Why does my email QR code open the wrong app or a website?
A few scanner apps mishandle the mailto: format and try to open it as a link. The built-in iPhone and Android cameras handle it correctly — test with those.
Can I pre-fill a long message?
Yes, but keep it short. A long body makes the code dense, and some mail apps truncate very long pre-filled text.
