One tap saves it. iPhone handles this cleanly from the camera; on Android the built-in scanner or Google Lens does it, though a few older scanners need a calendar-aware QR app.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
iPhone adds the event straight from the camera. Android works through Google Lens or the built-in scanner on most modern phones; a few older ones need a QR app that understands calendar events.
Can I add a reminder or alarm?
The person sets their own reminder when they save the event. The code carries the event itself, not the alert preference.
What if the event moves?
A static code cannot be edited. For an event whose details might change, use a URL QR code pointing to an event page instead.
Can it hold a recurring event?
This version creates a single event. For a series, link to a calendar subscription with a URL QR code.
Is a signup or ticket link included?
Not in the calendar entry. Add a URL to the description, or use a separate URL QR code for registration.
