It can hold the digits as text, but a Phone or Email QR code is better — those trigger a call or a draft email.
What is the maximum length of a text QR code?
The QR standard allows around 4,000 characters, but anything over ~300 makes a dense code that needs careful printing. For real-world use, stay under 150.
Does a text QR code work with no internet at all?
Yes, completely. The text is stored in the pattern itself, so scanning and reading it never touches a network.
Can I edit the text later?
No — it is fixed in the code. Reprint a new one if the text changes. For text you expect to update, link to a web page with a URL QR code instead.
