Google Review QR Code Generator

A Google review QR code drops the customer straight onto your business's 'write a review' screen — skipping the search, the map pin and the scrolling. Fewer taps means more reviews, and more reviews means you rank higher in local search. Put it on the bill, the counter, the receipt or a thank-you card.

1 Content

Find it with Google's Place ID finder, or paste your business's review link below instead.

2 Design— optional

Looks scannable

What happens when someone scans it

The phone opens your Google review page — the star picker and comment box for your specific business, ready to fill in. If the customer is signed into Google (most Android users always are) it is one screen: tap the stars, type a line, post. It opens in the browser or the Google Maps app if that is installed.

How to make a Google Review QR Code

  1. 1

Find your Place ID or review link

Use Google's Place ID Finder, or open your Business Profile, click 'Ask for reviews' and copy the short link — paste either one.

  2. 2

    Add a prompt

Pair the code with a line like 'How did we do? It takes 30 seconds.' — use the Google review card template for a ready design.

  3. 3

    Keep it high-contrast

This is scanned quickly in passing, so avoid a big logo or a pale colour that hurts the scan.

  4. 4

Print and place it where the visit ends

The moment right after paying or checking out is when people are most willing to leave a review.

Where to use it

  • On the bill folder or receipt at a restaurant or cafe
  • A small stand on the counter or reception desk
  • Thank-you cards in delivery and e-commerce packages
  • Service vans and tradesperson invoices
  • Hotel checkout desks and room folders

Frequently asked questions

Where do I get the Place ID?

Search 'Google Place ID Finder', find your business on the map and copy the ID (it starts with ChIJ). Or paste the full review link from your Business Profile instead — either works.

Does the customer need a Google account?

Yes, to post a review. Most Android users are always signed in; iPhone users may need to sign in, which adds a step but still works.

Is it against Google's rules to ask for reviews?

No. Asking customers for honest reviews is allowed. What is not allowed is offering payment or discounts in exchange, or filtering so only happy customers get the link.

Can I see who left a review?

Only what Google shows you in your Business Profile. This QR code does not track scans — it is a static shortcut to the review form.

Will more reviews actually help?

Yes. Review count and recency are ranking factors in Google's local pack, and a visible star rating lifts click-through from search.

Can I use one code for several locations?

No — each code points to one business's review form. Generate a separate code per location.
